Learning to Cook
When my husband and I got married, I didn’t know how to cook a thing. This was hard on the both of us: he was used to his mother’s wonderful cooking every night and I felt like a failure for being able to burn anything I touched. I even asked my mother-in-law to help me learn to cook, but within 10 minutes I had broken her grinder and she needed these expensive biro parts to fix it. My lessons ended there.
Our friends knew that this was a problem, and two of them went in together to get us a food processor. Of course, I didn’t know what to do with it. What was a food processor anyway? After a while, I shared my distress with these well-meaning friends, and by the next morning one of them had sent me a copy of the article, “Top 10 Reasons to Love Your Food Processor.” From that moment forward, I started learning to cook, and the food processor made it SO easy!
