Discuss Dating Advice for Teens with Your Parents

I think for most teenagers that having a discussion on teen dating advice with their parents will indicate to them that you are maturing and showing some responsibility as a teenager. This will also show them that you are respecting their opinions about teen dating. On the other hand, don’t be surprised to find that they have some great teen dating tips. Their tips will have solutions that work and sound teenage advice from which both you and your parents will benefit. After all, they love and care about you more than anything in the world.

In addition, when you decide to have a conversation with your parents about your issues on dating advice for teens, you should be totally honest. You can first start out by asking them what dating tips they feel you should abide by when you go out on a date. Also, don’t forget to talk about what clothes and makeup that they prefer that you wear. especially when it comes to clothes and makeup. Another thing that you should ask them about is what they consider to be unsafe situations and what sort of places they don’t want you to go to. I realize that it’s possible that they may have a few gray hairs at this stage in their lives, but that does not mean that they can’t provide you with some good advice on teen dating.

Parenting ~ Moore Style

There has never been a time in the history of the family when parenting wasn’t an issue. Going all the way back to the very first parents, parenting happy, healthy, well-balanced offspring has never been easy. So this is today in regards to a variety of households consisting of everything from a single mother or father to blended families to both mother and father holding down full time jobs in order to make ends meet. The demands of remaining a responsible parent are just as crucial as ever, but there is an oasis obtainable in the middle of this desert experience at MooreHomeschool.com.

Although we are strong advocates for the homeschooling movement from a 25 year position of being a ‘two-parent-single-income-Dad-stay-at-home-Mom-home-schooling-eight-children-family’, we also realize the concern and battles that all mothers and fathers go through when desiring the best for their children. Believe us when we say, “been-there-done-that!” The task of being a good parent is not lost on us. And, because of this, we feature an extensive collection of training books as a help for parents, in addition to teachers, written by Raymond and Dorothy Moore, offering so much more than the ‘schooling at home is definitely the most effective choice’ approach.

Within every one of the Moore’s books, such as ‘Better Late Than Early’ to ‘The Successful Homeschooling Handbook’ to ‘Minding Your Own Business’, you’ll find so much more than authors advocating that you instruct your children in the home. You’ll discover two extremely devoted people who embraced the consuming desire to help parents and children alike know how to develop in this world, full of life and potential.

Victorian Doll House Collecting

Victorian Doll Houses hold a fascination for adults and children alike and no wonder. Who can resist the charm and spectacle of these wonderful creations of a bygone age. These days there is a worldwide following for the Victorian era and there are many fine examples of these doll houses in both private and national collections.

Famous ones include the Queen Mary Doll House which is permanently on show at Windsor castle just outside London. Constructed in 1924 King George V had the house built for his wife Queen Mary and designed by British architect Sir Edwin Luytens. Contributions from 1500 craftsman and companies were to make this dolls house ready for the British exhibition in 1924. Standing over five feet tall it is over eight feet wide and five feet deep and was constructed to the now very popular 12th scale. Many of those who viewed the dollhouse at the time would have been inspired to build their own and many such houses, although not as grand, will have originated from this time.

Child Booster Seats For Home Use

The home booster seat is a fantastic “in-between chair” for small children that are unable to reach the table top or counter top in a full-size chair. The baby booster seat often is the transition seat between the time period an infant begins to sit up by themselves and when a child is able to seat in a kitchen chair, play chair, or a restaurant chair without a booster.

Booster seats are a basic and affordable solution for aiding children that cannot reach the table top comfortably in a regular chair. A booster chair comes in handy during meal time at home or at a restaurant allowing the child to be a part of the meal time fun. These boosters are very portable which allows you to throw them in the car and take it along when dining out, traveling on vacation, or taking the baby to grandma for a stay over.

You can get your booster seat at Amazon.com and eBay.com

Effective Parenting from the Heart

I think we have all probably heard at some time or another that effective parenting doesn’t come with an instructional manual. Yes, it’s safe to say that you will surely find all kinds of self-help books on how to care and feed your children, as this pertains to the mechanical aspects of parenting. You will also find books on how to handle diaper rash or how to convince your teen that it’s a great idea to have good dietary habits. You will even find books advising you what you should have in your first aid kit and also how to deal with colds and flus. On the other hand, when it comes to trying to develop good values to instill in your child, helping your child build a good character or dealing with their emotional development, then this can be quite more challenging. I think at this level effective parenting will come mostly from the heart.

I think that maybe the best advice on effective parenting is to just rely on the love that you have for your child and let your heart guide you along the way. your love for your children and let your heart lead you. Throughout all the developmental stages that your child will go through before they reach adulthood, your consistent demonstration of loving care may very well be your most valuable asset which will help you raise your child.

Abortion Options to Consider If You’re Facing an Unplanned Pregnancy

Many women have found themselves in the position of having to make a significant life decision. An unplanned pregnancy can raise a lot of questions about what to do, to continue with the pregnancy or not, and to keep the baby or put it up for adoption. As you can see, there are many options available to women no matter which path they choose to go down. Some women may find that they have no way to support the child, either emotionally or financially, and cannot see themselves having a healthy pregnancy and delivering a child only to give it up for adoption. For these women, abortion is a viable option that must be considered. A chronic health condition may also put the woman or fetus at risk, lending to the decision to pursue an abortion. This can be a very scary word, and it has a different meaning for everyone, because there are so many different views on this controversial procedure. (more…)

Understanding Toddler Behavior

Toddler behavior is much more complex than that of a baby, but remember that it is quite innocent as well. Children at this age are not manipulative and they are not doing things to irk you on purpose. But no two toddlers are alike and there are clearly things they all do that can be frustrating to parents. If you learn about some of the common things they face each day, you can learn to read your child loud and clear even when they have not said a word.

Vtech Digital Camera Survives Grandchildren!

Digital cameras for kids are all the range but are they any good? For the answer to that question you need to ask yourself what it is you want from a digital kids camera. First thing to bear in mind is that these cameras’ are built to be rugged and tough. Children under five are not always as careful with their toys as one would like so the camera has to be fit for purpose.

However they still need to take a half reasonable photograph and for the most part they do. Don’t expect to get the quality you would expect from your own sophisticated digital camera – you wont. Many kids cameras have a megapixel count of less than three so they are in the stone age as far as digital photography is concerned. The point is your child won’t care. Most under fives will be happy to point and click away all day long and maybe you will have one or two shots that will be worth keeping the rest can be deleted. Any photos that are worth having can be downloaded onto a computer for viewing or printing off.

One of the most popular digital cameras for children is the Vtech digital camera the Kiddiezoom, this unit appears to offer good value and performance at a reasonable price. Our own grandchildren use one and the youngest at three finds it fun and easy to use. For examples of what the Vtech Kiddiezoom can do along with information on all types of children’s cameras head over to ww.digitalkidscamera.net

Advice From Parenting Experts

As you start parenting your own children, if needed, I think you should consider getting some advice from parenting experts that seem to have the same philosophies as you do, when it pertains to parenting issues. There are parents who will begin reading books the day their babies are born so they can start deciding if a certain expert is talking about things that make sense. Should you begin reading about attachment parenting and then decide that it’s not for you, it’s really okay. You will discover that several parenting experts will give you advice you various directions. You will uncover that if you take bits and pieces from each expert, this will help you create your own parenting skills and discipline methods that will work just fine for your family. When you start to feel good and almost everything starts to make sense, then you will be on the right track.

I think as time goes on, you will find that no one person will have all the right answers. You might want to consider locating some books by different parenting experts that sit well with you. Then what you can do is take the advice that you like from each book. Always keep in mind that you should not always rely on parenting experts too much, because you may find that your parenting style may develop into an uncomfortable situation. Just trust your intuition as you are parenting your own children and things will turn out just fine.

Choosing Baby Boy Names

You know it can sometimes be very hard when choosing baby boy name. People normally want to be viewed as a unique individual and also they want to be treated the same as everyone else. Most of us want to stand out in the crowd and be able to fit in at the same time. Parents normally try to give their children an unusual name that is quite unique from the rest of the names. Most of the time this can be good because as the child grows up they will feel that they are special because of their own unique name. On the other hand, it can sometimes be difficult because the name can be hard to pronounce and at times the child might get teased at school due to his unusual name. Many times the child ends up getting a nickname just to try and avoid some of the issues with his real name.

My son is going to have a baby boy soon and he is concerned about a very unique name because he remembers teasing kids in school who had quite an unusual name. He worries that if his wife happens to give their son a strange name, that his son will be teased at school and he will end up with a nickname. My daughter-in-law insists that whatever baby boy name they decide on, that this will be exactly what he will be called. she does not want anyone calling him by a nickname. I have informed her that she can’t control what other people will decide to do. As the boy grows older and matures into an adult he will decide for himself what he wants to be called.

Looking For Signs Of Pregnancy

I have found how the older I get the more like my mom I will be. My sisters used to tease me about this and it would make me upset. We tried to battle the similarities and observe what I might say and do. One day my husband complained to me that my mother was a generous loving women and that I should be proud that people thought I had been similar to her. I reflected on this and realized that he was right, I should be attempting harder to be more like her instead of discounting the traits we had in accordance.

I had been reminded of my mother yesterday when my son and his wife were over to our house visiting. As I watched my daughter in law through out the day I was noticing signs of being pregnant. My mother had an uncanny capability to notice pregnancy. She knew I was pregnant with my first child before I possibly could announce it to her. With my second pregnancy she knew I had been pregnant before I did. I didn’t wish to spoil my daughter-in-laws announcement so I did not say anything to her during the day. As we were doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen she mentioned that she could not understand why she was so tired. She said she had been feeling very tired for a few weeks, even though she was getting the same quantity of sleep that she always does.

I casually mentioned this was among the signs of being pregnant. She looked at me very surprised and asked if I thought it could be possible. We both laughed at the question and she became embarrassed. I asked her if she had experienced any of the other signs of pregnancy such as being overly emotional or feeling strange in the morning or around certain smells. She confirmed all of the symptoms plus her last period had been very light and lasted only two days. She said that they had gone off birth control last month because they desired to start a family. She attributed all the symptoms to being off the pill. So many of her friends were having a hard time getting pregnant so she didn’t think it would happen immediately for them.

She went to the living room where her father and husband were playing chess. She told them which I had stated several signs of pregnancy to her and that she thought she might be pregnant. She insisted that we go to the pharmacy around the corner to get a pregnancy test. We bought the test and she went into the bathroom, the next minute she came out laughing and crying at the same time. The test came out positive. It was so fun to watch her and our son dance around the family room in joy.

Parenting Styles – Which One is Correct?

The topic in this article is about the various parenting styles. I believe that it is safe to say that all parents will never agree with just one type of parenting style. This will primarily depend on each individual person since everyone see’s some parenting styles as appropriate, yet they will disagree with other styles. I think each person’s views on different styles will be mainly influenced by the way they were raised by their parents as a child.

I think parenting your kids is something which you will learn and have to figure out on your own over time. It’s quite normal that you would take from your own experiences as a child when your where growing up and try using them the as an example for raising your own kids. In addition, some parenting styles can be different based on the culture that they live in, and they can also be taken in a different manner depending on the area of the world.

It really is hard to say that there is one correct type of parenting style, since different parenting styles can work for different parents. I think it depends on the parent, the child, and their environment, which are very broad factors that encompass a myriad of traits, actions and experiences. In the end, I think it is more important on how the child ends up and how he or she feels about it because whatever they experience as a child will in all probability influence the next generation of kids to come.

Childrens Digital Camera – Would You Buy One?

It seems that children grow up fast these days particularly when it comes to learning how to use twenty-first century gadgets. Recently my five year granddaughter has gotten very interested in taking photographs using my digital slr camera. She does a fantastic job and understands many of the functions but I was so concerned about her damaging my pride and joy that I began to research the childrens digital camera market.

Well that opened my eyes!

What I discovered was that these cameras are really only suitable for toddlers. Kids cameras are built to withstand a lot of abuse, they are big and colourful and very appealing to youngsters. What they are not good at is taking really good photographs. Now don’t get me wrong here. I guess I am approaching it from the point of view of what my needs are not the childs. Provided that the camera does a half reasonable job of taking a snap that can look okay when printed or on a computer screen then that’s enough. And many of the kids digital cameras on the market do the job fairly well so long as you manage your own adult expectations.

What I did find however was a big discrepancy in performance from one children’s digital camera maker to another. As always you get what you pay for so don’t expect a lot from a kids camera that cost only $20. Try to aim at the middle to high end, they go as up to $150 or so. Watch out for resolution too, you need to find a digital camera around the two or three mega pixel mark, don’t even bother with anything less.

So what about my five year old granddaughter? Well for me it was a no-brainer. I think that had she been a lot younger I would have taken a punt at a Fisher-Price or Vtech but at five I think that children are already way to savvy. I went for a Canon Powershot 480 which you can find for around $100 or so. The camera produces fantastic quality and my granddaughter took no time at all to become completely familiar with it.

My final advice is this. Buy a toddler one of the many childrens digital cameras on the marketfor sure but give a proper digital camera to a five year old.

Managing Your Childs Anger – Anger Management for Kids

Anger management for kids can be tough. Kids are not normally forthcoming in sharing feelings and emotions. A kid may have feelings of anger, pain or guilt but you would never know it from talking with them.

A child’s feelings are usually displayed in their behavior. When a child is sad they may keep to themselves or have little to say. When a child feels guilty they may avoid people and stay in their room. When a child is angry they may break their toys, scream or throw a tantrum. Children don’t always talk about their emotions but their actions should give you some clues.

When kids show signs of anger, bursting into fits or rage and rolling around the floor in tantrums, there’s a problem. This behavior should ell you that this child needs help. Left untreated, this problem could evolve into tons of difficulty in the future. It’s easier to do anger management for kids when they are young instead of waiting until they are older.

Most of us recognize the continuing escalation of violence around us, due to intolerance, and many of us blame it on somebody else. Parents teach their children, all the time, and when one of us displays “road rage,” while our child is in the car, we teach a brand new skill set.

Although, road rage is inappropriate behavior, at any time, and can get you killed, most children who are exposed to it, will duplicate the actions of their parents, when they are old enoughto drive.

So the first step, is to set an example and, possibly, use some of these ideas, for yourself. Studies show that anger causes atherosclerosis, the build-up of plaques in the arteries, that is a major factor in developing high blood pressure, heartdisease, heart attack, and premature death.

Also, during a “temper tantrum,” adrenaline and blood pressure levels rise beyond normal. This behavior is more dangerous to parent’s bodies due to the normal “wear and tear” already existing. You need to learn how managing your childs anger will help both you and your child.
