Balloon Art

An excerpt of an article about balloon art

The evolution of balloon modeling towards balloon art has also triggered massive changes in the manufacturers’ market policy. New color selections, more sizes available, different shapes, materials and accessories now complement the diversity of balloon art manifestations. Hence, there is an ongoing circle of cause and effect: the more extensive balloon art becomes, the wider the selection of tools necessary for it. Where can one admire balloon art? First of all, parks, fairs, public gardens, sports events, children’s entertainment shows and trade presentations make perfect occasions for such versatile and “perennial” art representations.

Late Potty Training

Some parents worry that their children are old enough to use the toilet and still they don’t do it. There fore late potty training is the better option; it is always better to do it later than not to do it at all. Many believe that it is better to begin potty training only after the age of three or four. Other would go for late potty training that starts even as late as five years old. Their arguments are that the child cannot be receptive to such task before this particular age. However most pediatricians recommend early potty training to guarantee earlier success. As a result, late potty training is only a sort of postponing of what the child has to learn at a very young age.

Baby Photos

When my daughter was born, I wanted to take a million pictures. I also wanted to get professional pictures taken, wanting the absolute best memories of my child. But the professional pictures, while beautiful, were never good memories. It was either a bored baby or a screaming baby in a photo. Then I read the article, “Excellent Baby Photos.” I tried what they recommended and got great picture and great memories at the same time. At the bottom of the article, there was a link for the author, who gives charitable gift donations in Los Angeles to the Make a Wish Foundation for children. I was so excited about the baby photos, I decided to give to that charity too. Having great pictures of my baby is wonderful. Helping someone else’s baby is priceless.

Would A Student Loan Make Sense To You As A Parent?

A college education is an expensive time for parents and students alike. Most parents want to see their children do well in school and progress to a college education. But for many finance is a problem, and that is why the availability of student loans is so important to a lot of families. A student loan allows the student to concentrate on their course studies without worrying about the costs of it, and takes the financial burden away from their parents. Teenage behavior is certainly, one of the baffling mysteries of parental life!

The love between you is unconditional, yet there are those incidents which leave you at an absolute loss for words! For example, you wander into the kitchen, where your teen is preparing a snack. You just happen to be there for a glass of water. You’re sideswiped with an undeserved remark. ìOh, I just hate it when you come snooping on me!î Whoa. You do a mental regroup. ìHey, sweetie, I just came for a glass of water. I didn’t even know you were out in the kitchen!î The response? ìCan I just fix my food, puhleeze?î Well, OK, you can do that. Your feelings are hurt. You really didn’t mean to be spying, for crying out loud! ìI love you!î, you say, in all sincerity, before making your exit, water glass in hand. This is teenage behavior. There’s no other way to explain it.

You may well wonder why teenage behavior is outside the norm of regular parent to kid communication. What you need to understand is that there’s no explaining it. Be assured that your child loves you with all their heart, but once that child becomes a teenager, all of the normal stops are pulled. Teenage behavior is …

My advice for Parenting Young Children

Though you may be scared when you first bring home your infant, you have enough information and enough help to know that you are doing the right thing. Some of the things you have to do are going to be hard, and you may feel unsure, but most who come home with baby are aware of the things that baby needs to survive. Those include feeding, shelter, and keeping baby clean and dry. However, when it comes to parenting young children, parents are more on their own and they donít have as much instruction. It is trying, but it is also a great joy.

What you have to remember about the rules of parenting small children is that there really are no rules. Each child is different and each is going to do things in their own special way. That means that what works for one child is not going to work for another. Rules are more like guidelines, and should be viewed as such. Parenting young children is like an adventure in learning about human nature. As long as you strive to really understand your child, you are half way there.

Childhood Anxiety

Children are supposed to be happy and carefree, at least, that is what my Mom and Dad tell me. No parent wants to see that their child is unhappy or worried about things that should not be of any concern to them as they grow. They should be learning and having fun, and the worries of the world should not come into play for them until they are much older. However, there are plenty of cases of childhood anxiety out there of which each parent should be concerned. Some sources can be avoided and other can not.

One of the biggest sources for childhood anxiety, as you can imagine, is divorce. It does not matter how well parents handle this, they are going to be anxious about it because it changes their world completely. What was once secure is now unknown, and children do not deal with that very well. Though parents should never stay together just for the children - as that can backfire - some give up too soon. Bad marriages can be turned around to be even better than they were when times were at their best. Try everything to save your marriage before giving up to spare your child this childhood anxiety.

Playing Educational Games With kids

To make it easier for young children to learn, you need to make it enjoyable for them. If they enjoy doing something, they’re going to get a lot more out of it. You can play educational games with them to make learning more fun and entertaining. There are also many fun learning toys out there that you can purchase for them.

‘Just say no’ doesn’t work! Adolescent drug addiction is common

The statistics on teen drug abuse and addiction are horrifying. Unfortunately, these statistics usually err on the side of conservative numbers, as many teens are unwilling to admit the reality and parents are often clueless. The Nancy Reagan ‘Just say no’ approach does not work. The reality is that there are a plethora of truly devastating drugs that are readily available to kids as young as eight! Middle and high school students are inundated with offers of drugs. The types of drugs are far more dangerous than those of past decades. Today, adolescent drug addiction is, sadly, common.

Many parents still cling to the ‘just say no’ philosophy, feeling that their sage advice exhorting the child to simply refuse overtures of illegal and prescription drugs will do the trick. Nothing could be further from the truth. During the adolescent period…

Adolescent substance abuse is a reality.

Every parent with a teenager knows that they need to be vigilant in order to protect their kids from the ever-growing list of dangers in today’s world. However, too many parents are stuck on thinking that their child would never engage in behavior that might lead to dire consequences. The world is just not the same as it was twenty or thirty years ago. Every day, we hear and read of violence in schools, child predators and the relatively easy availability of drugs. Yet we think that our own kids are far too sensible to fall prey to any of these dangers. Adolescent substance abuse is rampant and sticking your head in the sand is no solution.

Teenagers today are exposed to…

Do you know the Signs Of Adolescent Alcohol Abuse?

You may know that there are some teenagers that drink, and perhaps even do drugs. You know this because you see it on the news and may have read stories about these things online. No matter how smart, popular, or moral you think your teenager is, they are always going to be at risk for trying something they know they should not be doing.

Adolescent alcohol abuse usually…

Successful Parenting

Article from ColtonsPages.com
As a 6 year old, this subject is very near and dear to my heart. My stance is “Give your kid everything they want!!!” Just kidding!

We all have different ideas of what successful parenting really means. Some feel that if their children have lived to the age of 18 and then moved out, they have done all that they can do. Others feel that they have not done a good job unless their children did well in school and have gone on to a good college. Everyone else falls somewhere in between. If you think you have done a good job because your teenager has not done drugs, is not failing in school, and is not pregnant, you may be on to something. Success in these areas is all about perspective.

Kids Health

Parents often have a lot of questions when it comes to kids health, but they never feel as if they are getting enough information from the doctor. This is often because appointments are rushed, and doctors donít always leave an opening for questions and concerns. If you have ever taken your child in and paid over a hundred dollars for a five minute appointment, you know what I am talking about here.
