Effective Parenting from the Heart
I think we have all probably heard at some time or another that effective parenting doesn’t come with an instructional manual. Yes, it’s safe to say that you will surely find all kinds of self-help books on how to care and feed your children, as this pertains to the mechanical aspects of parenting. You will also find books on how to handle diaper rash or how to convince your teen that it’s a great idea to have good dietary habits. You will even find books advising you what you should have in your first aid kit and also how to deal with colds and flus. On the other hand, when it comes to trying to develop good values to instill in your child, helping your child build a good character or dealing with their emotional development, then this can be quite more challenging. I think at this level effective parenting will come mostly from the heart.
I think that maybe the best advice on effective parenting is to just rely on the love that you have for your child and let your heart guide you along the way. your love for your children and let your heart lead you. Throughout all the developmental stages that your child will go through before they reach adulthood, your consistent demonstration of loving care may very well be your most valuable asset which will help you raise your child.
