Create Your Family Website With A HTML Text Editor
If you want to create your web pages on your family website, you could start with a HTML text editor. You can get free HTML text editors or you can get better ones where you pay for it. I started with a free HTML text editor and then moved on to Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver can be expensive, but it is one of the better web design software. With Dreamweaver you can see the HTML code and view the design. With Design view, you can see what the page looks like once it is uploaded to a website.
If you are using just a HTML editor, you cannot view your hard work until you open the page on a browser or upload the page to your server and view from there. If you are to view your new page live from your server, then create a special folder on the server where you can view a page as you are making changes to the code, so that not everyone on the internet can see your page as you are making changes. Once you are happy with all the amendments, then you can place it with all the other pages on the website.
